The Action Plan
This is a plan to bring Sigma back to itself.
My view is that the vision of our founders has been distorted, diluted, and misdirected. For too long, efforts have felt ethereal, symbolic, or surface-level—lacking substance and leaving no lasting legacy. Many brothers have rightfully begun to ask: What are we actually building?
This action plan is about restoring alignment with the oaths to which we pledged, and to the excellence that our cause demands. It is designed to leave a tangible mark.

Blueprint for a Purposeful Sigma

Conduct Transformational Training
Host Statewide Leadership Seminars focused on:
Effective Chapter Leadership
The History & Philosophy of Sigma
Organizational Identity and Purpose
Equip chapter officers and members with practical tools to lead with integrity and clarity

Reignite Cultural Alignment
Promote a statewide culture of excellence, discipline, and collective identity.
Showcase chapters whose actions align with the founding values of Phi Beta Sigma.
Normalize meaningful work, strategic planning, and accountability—not just fraternal gatherings.

Foster Accountability with Support
Provide regular check-ins and support to chapters to help them meet expectations—not just correct missteps.
Encourage chapter transparency and peer learning—not surveillance, but support.
Build relationships where honesty is expected and growth is celebrated.

Engage in Strategic Visibility
Develop state-level initiatives that reflect our purpose and presence in the community.
Support chapters in creating events that demonstrate our organizational value to the public.
Create a Statewide Sigma Impact Report to document and share the work being done.

Build a Culture of Continuity
Set clear expectations that leadership is about service and succession, not entitlement or ego.
Focus on setting up successors for success, not setting up blockades to preserve titles.
Ensure that wisdom is passed down, and momentum is never lost between transitions.

Committment
As part of that mission, we will explore opportunities such as grant-funded programs—initiatives that not only serve our community but also jumpstart a new credibility among our members. This is not just about showing up. It’s about building something that stays.
I will commit to ensuring that our accomplishments are limited only by the level of commitment from you, the brotherhood. This action plan is not one brother’s statement of future work—it is an agreement between brothers to work together to accomplish shared goals.
